Opened in 2000 in the Royal Docks, Excel London has hosted prominent events such as the G20 Summit and major gatherings for tech giants like Google and Amazon. The venue also became a critical site during the pandemic, converting to NHS Nightingale Hospital London, and has been a filming location for blockbusters like _Mission: Impossible_ and _Batman Begins_.
Currently, Excel London attracts about four million visitors yearly, with a significant portion from abroad. The venue hosts around 400 events annually, positively impacting local and national economies and supporting over 37,000 jobs in the process.
Humaid Al Dhaheri, chairman and managing director of ADNEC Group, shared thoughts on the future: “As we look ahead to 2025 and beyond, we remain committed to further strengthening Excel’s position as a leading hub for innovation, trade and business…” This year also sees Excel set to expand by 25,000sqm, becoming Europe’s largest fully integrated venue, totalling 125,000sqm.
Moreover, Excel London is gearing up to launch its new waterfront entertainment district, Immerse LDN, with over a million tickets already sold to attractions like The Formula 1 Exhibition. As these developments unfold, the venue clearly embraces a vibrant future, further entrenching its role in London’s event scene.
