JRs exhibition titled ‘Outposts curated by Perrotin opened on March 14th and will run until May 3rd showcasing the projects ‘Déplacé·es and ‘Children of Ouranos. Mark Rappolt sat down with JR to discuss his move, into gallery art and exploration of issues in his work.
Perrotin unveiled its gallery space on Brook Mews, in London on March 14th with the exhibition titled “Outposts”, by the artist JR on display until May 3rd this year. The showcase includes two projects. “Déplacé·es” that sheds light on refugee communities through photographs of children featured on expansive banners across different nations and “Children of Ouranos” that delves into themes of visibility and invisibility using contrasting white silhouettes against black panels.
