London’s ‘Live Odyssey’ is launching an immersive experience in collaboration with John Lennon’s family, starting May 22 in Camden. Celebrated for showcasing the evolution of British music, it offers a unique adventure through six decades in a two-and-a-half-hour journey.
Julia Baird, Lennon’s sister, will reveal a multi-sensory exhibit at the opening, detailing John’s formative years and rise to fame with The Beatles. This exhibit explores their shared childhood, family bonds, and the impact of personal losses, providing a candid glimpse into John Lopenson’s life.
Guests will traverse six themed rooms representing various musical eras, each designed to recreate the sights and sounds defining the decades. Attendees can move freely between live rooms and bars, enhancing the social experience.
Acts highlighted include The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Queen, and modern artists like Ed Sheeran and Dua Lipa. Both Carl Barât and Pete Doherty from The Libertines expressed their excitement, emphasizing the tribute to British music’s rich history.
