Jordanian food companies will participate in IFE 2025 in London for the first time, showcasing their products to 30,000 global buyers. This event provides an opportunity to promote exports, particularly in the UK market, benefiting from a large Arab community and previous trade agreements. The initiative aims to stimulate economic growth and job creation in Jordan.
Jordanian food companies will seize a significant opportunity at the International Food and Drink Event (IFE 2025) in London, commencing on Monday. This marks the UAE’s first involvement in this global exhibition, featuring 1,500 exhibitors and attracting approximately 30,000 buyers from over 105 countries.
Ahmed Khudari, chairman of the Jordan Exporters Association, underscored the importance of this event for boosting Jordan’s food exports and enhancing visibility in international markets, especially the UK. He stated, “This first participation comes within the association’s strategy to promote Jordanian exports of food products.”
The IFE 2025 presents a chance for Jordanian companies to showcase a diverse range of products such as desserts, spices, and baked goods to the wider market. Khudari noted the strategic advantage of the large Arab community in the UK, describing it as a “great opportunity for Jordanian companies to expand their businesses.”
The exhibition facilitates networking opportunities, further impacting the economic landscape in Jordan by creating new markets for local products, which supports production expansion, attracts investment, and addresses economic challenges. “Jordanian exports represent a solution to multiple economic challenges,” Khudari said, emphasizing the positive effects on job creation and trade balance.
Recent data indicates that the trade exchange between Jordan and the UK reached around 303 million Jordanian dinars last year, with 62 million dinars resulting from Jordanian exports.
The participation of Jordanian food companies at IFE 2025 in London is a pivotal step towards enhancing their global reach and boosting exports. Key benefits include showcasing diverse products, leveraging the UK market’s demand, and creating economic opportunities. This involvement not only addresses local economic challenges but also strengthens trade ties between Jordan and the UK.
