Jordanian food companies are set to participate in the International Food and Drink Event (IFE 2025) in London, starting Monday at the ExCeL International Exhibition Centre. Organised by the Jordan Exporters Association (JEA), the three-day event will feature 1,500 exhibitors and is expected to attract about 30,000 global buyers from over 105 countries.

JEA Chairman Ahmad Khudari stated this first-time participation aligns with their strategy to promote Jordan’s food exports and enhance their global market presence. IFE 2025 offers a significant platform for Jordanian businesses to display a range of products including desserts, baked goods, spices, and nuts, highlighting the quality and uniqueness of Jordanian food.

Khudari highlighted the British market’s advantages, such as a large Arab community that creates demand for Jordanian products. He noted the importance of the free trade agreement between Jordan and the UK, which facilitates business expansion. The event will enable Jordanian companies to connect with leading international food entities and emphasize the high standards of Jordan’s food sector.

According to Khudari, boosting Jordanian exports can address economic challenges, support local production, and attract investments. This could lead to more job opportunities, enhance foreign currency reserves, and improve trade balances. In 2024, Jordan’s trade exchange with the UK was approximately JD303 million, with JD62 million being exports from Jordan.

Jordanian food companies are poised to make a significant impact at IFE 2025, showcasing their quality products to a global audience. This initiative is a key part of Jordan’s strategy to enhance export capabilities and economic growth. The event offers excellent networking opportunities and is strategically important for expanding Jordan’s market presence in the UK, particularly in light of the existing free trade agreement.
