The Arts Bridge, established by Guangxi Normal University Press Group, will launch its 2025 Annual Series at the London Book Fair from March 11 to 13, 2025. This initiative aims to enhance global appreciation of Chinese arts and foster cross-cultural artistic exchanges.
Since its inception at the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2016, the Arts Bridge has promoted Chinese publishing, artists, designers, and cultural traditions, aiding their international recognition.
On the opening day of the London Book Fair, the Arts Bridge will host a promotional event with a unique lemon yellow booth. This event will showcase key figures for 2025, including Eugene Wang from Harvard, architect Ma Yansong, and art historian Wu Hongliang, celebrating their impact on modern Chinese culture.
A key feature of the series is the Art Salon titled “Contemporary Expressions of Ancient Chinese Art & Craftsmanship,” scheduled for March 12 at the Royal Geographical Society. This salon will focus on dialogues about bronze artifacts from Shanxi Museum and contemporary art from Hangzhou, East China.
Prominent scholars and artists, like Shane McCausland from the University of London, along with Zhang Lei and Jovana Zhang from PINWU Design Studio, will engage in discussions on ancient Chinese art and contemporary interpretations.
