Join us this Sunday for a leisurely bike ride from Hammersmith to Central London to visit the exhibition “Lives Less Ordinary: Working-Class Britain Re-seen.” We’ll meet at Brook Green, W6 7BD, beside the tennis courts, at 9:50 am for a 10 am departure. The ride is approximately 16 miles and will use quieter streets at a relaxed pace of 8-10 mph.

After visiting the exhibition, which highlights the richness and diversity of working-class life since the 1950s, we’ll stop for coffee before returning to Brook Green. The expected return time is around 14:00-14:30. If you’re using a cargo bike or tricycle, contact us to adjust the route.

Please remember to bring locks, lights, and a spare inner tube or puncture repair kit. A rain jacket is advisable. We will take photographs during the ride; participation implies consent for promotional use unless you opt out on the day by informing a ride marshal.

Our ride is supported by OMA Bikes (omabikes.co.uk) for any puncture repairs needed. Hammersmith & Fulham Cycling is organising this event as part of the London Cycling Campaign. After the ride, we may contact you for feedback and information about future events.

This Sunday’s bike ride provides a unique opportunity to explore working-class life through art while enjoying a relaxed cycling experience. Participants should come prepared with necessary equipment and should anticipate an enjoyable day out, complete with a coffee break after the exhibition.
